Glitch Mural integrates styles and concepts spanning the use of technology and its effect on history. The mural blends contemporary figure drawing with digitally manipulated styling with a lean toward the past. The arquebusier, a paragon of the advancement of warfare during the 15th century, represents the lengths human- kind will go in the name of conquest. With Monica’s thoughtful con- temporary female forms, the mural takes on the meaning of considering one’s past as well as the past of human civilization.
